TAP Generation & Management 🚀

Setting up a new work device should feel like unboxing a gift, not solving a puzzle. Today, we’re making that first-day experience a whole lot smoother with automated Temporary Access Passes (TAP).

If you haven’t used a TAP yet, think of it as limited use password. It’s a short-term, high-security passcode that lets you log in to an account for the first time without needing a permanent password or MFA. It’s the safest and easiest way to get your passwordless login methods (like Windows Hello or FaceID) set up and ready to go. This makes it perfect for new device setup at customers.

Here’s what’s been released in this update:

  • TAP Generation: You no longer have to manually request or wait for a pass when setting up a new device. We’ve automated the process so your temporary pass is ready exactly when you need it for onboarding. This works for both corporate, and customers.

  • TAP Removal: Security is all about control. If you finish your setup early or want to invalidate a pass before its expiration date, you can now remove it easily. No more "hanging" access periods.

Both automations have been released to production and will sync to associated ITGlue instances overnight. If you wish to modify and clone this automation, please contact aoc@gocourser.com to request a clone.
